Covers most models on all major brands. Database currently includes over 80,000 models, and 1.4 million parts references -- plus exhaustive parts listings (with pricing updated monthly) for the major mfrs (over 600,000 listings), and Thermador. On top of this, data is constantly being expanded.
Whether searching by model or part number, shows all matches as fast as you can type, making it child's play to instantly (and effortlessly) locate any item.
When model is selected, instantly shows all its fast-moving parts.
While it does not show exploded parts diagrams (think of it as your quick and dirty, super-fast, maximally-easy, first place to go), it does show the microfiche card reference, so if more detailed lookup is needed (and if you have microfiche), there's no longer a need to use the hated microfiche index.
Shows added info on many parts, including old part numbers, subs, cross-references, better priced alternates, etc.
Unique interface makes it easy to compare similar models, to see if they use the same of any particular part -- and offers Reverse Lookup! Ever have a part number and want to know what models use it? This system allows you to.
Going beyond mere parts information, the system also includes an in-depth Fault Codes Concordance. Next time you need to know what F2 means on a Frigidaire oven, SmartParts will tell you (and in no more time than it takes to do three clicks with your mouse).
Each user's data is regularly updated (this may be done via convenient downloads from this website or via mailed update CDs).
